the weight of the world

Ever been through so much…you felt like the weight of the world was on you?

This week I have read a couple of blogs that made my heart heavy.  Buddies with so much to carry…such a heavy load.  People REALLY going through so much pain and suffering.  Having to keep the faith as they face the impossible.

I just feel so helpless…and heavy with love for these dear buddies!  What can I  say or do to make any kind of difference?

I got together with a sister here on the site and we began to seek God…on behalf of one of these dear ones…and the Lord met us.  In our reaching out to love on someone else, God met us there!  We connected even though we are states apart.  In the Spirit, there is no time or space.  We both marveled at that…His good pleasure.

It was amazing…to feel His presence…and His love over an instant messaging program.

God is so real, and He inhabits the praises of His people.  He says where two or more are gathered, there I am in their midst.  He just loves it when we get together to pray!  It blesses Him…to see us love others…like Jesus loves us.  The Word says that Jesus lives to make intercession for us.  That basically means, He lives to pray for us.   That is love!

I started to blog about eating soup and spaghetti squash, but now it just seems so trivial to talk about what I ate, or how fast I ran when I know so many are hurting and suffering.  I know this is a weight loss site, but right now…I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders, because people I care about are going through some very hard things.  I am going to go and lose some weight…by giving it all to the One that I know can handle it.

Remember to keep it all in perspective.  We are blessed beyond measure…

    My Dearest,
What an amazing Father we serve. He has no limitations or boundaries in reaching out to His children. You and the Buddy that you mention were able to “connect” because you both have the commonality of loving a dynamic Father who loved us so much, He gave His only begotten Son. Each of us that have committed to being Christians with our actions and words bear the responsibility to reach and pray for others no matter the distance. You did this and how wonderful you shared and thank you. You’re an example of what consideration of others is truly all about.

I love this blog! It is so true! Isn’t God great? To think of Jesus praying for me…that is so overwhelming to me, it gives me goosebumps. I know it to be true, but it is just so unfathomable that the man who was there at the dawn of creation loves me so much that he prays for me. :D How cool is that?

You are a terrific buddy and I thank God for you and all my other terrific buddies. :D

I have also noticed that some of our buddies are facing so much..and it troubled my heart. I wish I could make things easier for them…but its not in my hands..but in the hands of the lord.
I pray..I try to be supportive…and sometimes..I try to make them laugh. It seems so little to do…yet, I cant help but think that we are here for a reason..that we have met cause it was in god’s hands.
    Thanks Chrisie..for writing this blog.
    Love Debbie

What a wonderful blog Chrisie. I too wonder why people have to suffer. I believe it is a reminder of what Jesus went through for us. We have to suffer in order to feel His love. It is a chance to feel closer to God, to pray, to reach out to others, to be carried, to carry others. To count our blessings.
