Help! Tick tock tick tock…Time is still moving, but my scale isn’t
Drastic times call for drastic measures…
Christmas is coming, so is my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary…in February!!!!! I do not want to be the fat one in the pictures this time! I want to be normal weight by Valentine’s Day in February…
Could I do it? That would be 14-15 lbs per month.
I know I could if I fasted…but I know, I know…it is bad for you…plus, I already found the weight loss plan that I want to use anyway.
So…what about if I worked out like crazy????
Someone posted recently that Michael Phelps eats 12000 cals a day!!!! Can you imagine??? this article has the list of all he eats in a day… http://www.diet-blog.com/archives/2008/08/13/how_many_calories_does_michael_phelps_eat.php …so I am thinking, I REALLY love to eat, maybe not that much…so I just need to turn into a world class athlete! Ok, maybe not a world class athelete, but at least an athlete of sorts.Biggest Loser is getting ready to start, and they workout 6-8 hours a day. And they lose a lot of weight, in a short time. So that has to be the key for me!
I want to jog the whole way in this 5k I have signed up for in November…so it is time to kick my big booty in to shape.
My new goal is to find something to motivate me to outrun the clock…so I will be ready by the new year!
First thought is…should I just bite the bullet (and the wallet), and get a trainer? Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Girl you can do anything you set your mind too!

As for getting your own trainer, that would be so awesome if you can do it! I would love to do that, but it is not something I can afford to do financially!
Big HUGS!
Course you can do anything that you want to and achieve anything you set your mind to. But dont starve yourself or fast. It works in the short term, but in the long term is lowers your metabolic ratemaking you more prone to refill fat cells in the future. 14lbs a month is an average of 4-5lbs a week.
Just be sure to maintain a work/life/diet balance though. If you spend all your time dieting and working out, you may miss out on stuff. This happened to me when I was working out so much trying to lose weight.
At the end of the day, your health is your wealth (Dad always says this to me!) and without it…. you’re in trouble.
Sounds quite ambicious but good luck to you! I think you shouldn’t push yourself too far with exercise in a short amount of time because chances are you’ll injure yourself of exhaust yourself and that’ll cause you to crashout and be unable to do anything!
So make your goals realistic.. but if you think you can do what you’ve said it your blog. DO IT!
xx
How many times do I have to tell you? YES…YES..and YES! Do it, get a personal trainer! If you don’t like one get another one…ask questions of the personal trainer tell them what you want to do…see if you are compatable…you will know and God will guide you. Do it! Call right now
Yes, you can do it girl!!
I think a trainer would be fun and motivating for you. Go for it, and you WILL WILL WILL accomplish your goals!
You guys make me cry…you are all so encouraging…starting to lose hope that I will ever change, but maybe I will…maybe I can:)
If you can afford a personal trainer, then I say get one. If I could afford one I would. But no fasting or exercising like crazy…just keep with the weightloss plan that you’re working with. You can do it!
OMG…I have 2 appointments to meet with 2 different trainers…one at my gym, and one at another gym. It will cost almost all that I make to do it. But I am worth it…aren’t I?
you ARE worth it!!!
i would love to get a personal trainer — seems like even when i just had a friend coming over to work out with me, 1. i worked out regularly, 2. i worked out harder and 3. i didn’t let other things stop me from that time period we had set.
but that is me — i don’t have enough discipline to do it all on my own…. sad….
have FUN!!!!!! to me, the most important thing!
If you can afford a personal trainer, go for it! If not, can you get a friend, or friends, in on weightloss with you? So that you can support and encourage each other? I also recommend working out three times a day, morning, afternoon and early evening. For 30-60 minutes at a time. It doesn’t have to be anything super strenuous either. For me, I do 40 minutes of strength training in the morning…60 minutes of walking or swimming in the afternoon…60 minutes of cardio in the early evening (for me it’s with kickboxing or karate but any good cardio will do).
I know you CAN do this!!!
