Kudos to all of you ladies who work and/or are moms…how do you do it?

I worked today for 4 hours at the camp, then I will go back tonight to the community center for another 4 hours…getting ready to take a nap.  I am tired.

It is so much harder to plan for my exercise…and meals when I am on the go like this.  I can’t imagine if I still had kids too.  Some of the counselors invited me for lunch…pizza.  And I said…YES??? (but it was good…and I had the cals for it:)  Even though I HAD planned to walk…

At the camp…the moms come and line their cars up to pick up and drop off their kids…

Makes me think about all the moms out there, juggling it all.  Especially those that work too.

AND wanting to give a special shout out to all the single moms here!

My hat is off to you today and my hand is over my heart.  Being a working single mom is HARD…and sometimes very lonely!   I used to eat to cope with the stress…not the best choice.  Just remember to be good to you too!

Yep, I used to be a single mom and working. It’s a tough job. I was fortunate to have alot of family help though.

I know how it is to be a single mom and working and going to college full-time. Thank god for the support of my family and finally meeting my hubby five years ago. Hats off to all mothers.

I am a single mom with 4 kids, a full time job, am going back to school (online) and I can tell you–it is exhausting. It is also very rewarding and I have a great support network to help me out. The hardest part for me right now is having to fill the role of mommy and daddy because my children are very young and do not see their dad.

I have also found that as a single mom you have to be very organized. There are soccer games, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, etc. I have three seperate day runners just so I can keep up with it all. I also start every day out with a to do list–if it is on the list, it has to be done.

I thank God every day for my children because they are the reason that I am a stronger person.

Thanks for this blog! I am not a single mother, but my husband and I work opposite shifts and our family is all 3 hours or more away. So it’s almost like we are both single parents. 2 kids 2 and under a full time job and never seeing your husband… is hard! It is tiring, but worth every minute. My hats off to all single mothers, I don’t know how you do it. :)
