My heart monitor is on the fritz…

Hey!  I got a mio wristwatch heart monitor…and I use it when I walk and stuff.

It is acting kooky…I just changed the battery and I thought that would fix it…but alas…it hasn’t.  In the middle of my walks, it likes to reset itself…frustrating…cause then I have to re-enter it all over again….

It is still under warranty so I am thinking about sending it back, but just wanted to see what everyone else uses.  I like not having to use the chest band…and I think I prefer the wristband…but am open to suggestions!

I saw one that will actually track your route for you and then you can download it to a program on your computer…does anyone have one of those!?

Thanks!

I would return it, if it were up to me. I don’t have one.

Returning would prob be your best option while its under warrenty. I know its a pain but at least you could still replace it. My stuff usually fizzles AFTER the warrenty is up :)

Yeah girlie… return it. That’s so frustrating when it resets itself like that! I need to get a heart monitor too to accurately check my calories burned. And like yourself, I dont want one that has a band around my chest. Figure that’ll irritate my poor sensitve skin!

Everyone is so sweet…I should have mentioned that I got it on ebay…so I can’t return it…but I can ship it to them for repairs…and I think that is what I am going to do…that is…while I shop for a nicer model!
    Thanks!

Hi Chrisie, I have a Polar F6 and a Polar F11. The F6 works really well, it’s just that after years of use the light stopped working, and I need the light in spin so I bought the F11 for something different.

I don’t workout without one. It makes me push myself harder. Sometimes I think I’m working hard and I look down and I’m 135. That’s usually at the beginning of the workout. I find the first 15 minutes the most difficult.

Anyway, I like them both, but like I said, the F6 is cheaper and it works just fine. I use that one when I run or do DVDs at home. It tracks your HR and calories burned. It does a lot of other stuff too, but those are the things I am most interested in. Check out their website.

I was hoping you would comment…I had a feeling you’d have one…I looked at the Polar’s…those very models…but opted for something a little cheaper…guess I got what I paid for: )
    Thanks!
